i think the problem with jadedavekat conceptually is that jade feels like an afterthought pretty much no matter what. just like everything else that shes been involved in since like act 5

i mean like. best case scenario? jade was getting harassed by karkat for ages and for like a day and a half she got to know him a little but was still in a very high stress situation. then she went away on the battle ship for 3 years and had no contact with ANYONE her own age anymore. i just don’t see an emotionally healthy way for her to join an already established relationship between DAVE and KARKAT all of a sudden
