straight people only became “proud of their sexuality” when other sexualiaties dared to became proud of theirs (in the sense of “you are proud of your sexuality why i can’t be proud of mine??? :/) there’s no reason to be “proud” to be straight. no one is shaming you, you don’t feel threat by society because of it, the pride that we feel help us to live day by day with a society that is hostile with us (and “hostile” it’s a soft word), your “pride” it’s an answer to ours, it’s a “ohhh i want to have that, i’m not included”. Your “pride” it’s ridiculous and honestly, offensive at this point considerating how heteros treated non-het people through history. and no, someone making jokes about straight people in the internet is not the same, jesus christ.
straight people, i don’t want your comments. for once, shut up and think about this.
and this kind of thought i think that also works for anything related to minorities. replace “straight” with “white”,“cis”, etc. it has the same effect. And this is coming from a white cis, so please don’t whine.
