i know this isn’t a hot take but i hate when people refer to a trans person’s name as their “preferred” name. like it’s not “preferred” it’s just their damn name. i have a friend who goes by her middle name and not a single person says it’s her “preferred” name, it’s just her name, that’s what we call her. call trans people by their fucking names, stop being so fucking stupid.
