thor is a problematic loki apologist remember when Loki was dead in the comics so Thor was like “im gonna bring him back” and everyone was like “umm thor is that a good idea remember all the murder he did” and Thor was like “yea……but I miss him”
remember that short story they made you read in school called The Lottery where the whole town gets together and just stones a motherfucker at random what the fuck was up with that
Full fucking offense but Pearl is truly one of the most iconic characters in television history.
Not only is she the useless lesbian representation we deserve, but her transformation as a character over the course of the series has been nothing but fantastic. She’s a realistically flawed being and has overcome unimaginable challenges in her life, constantly dealing with the trauma of her past and trying her absolute best to fight back against the setbacks in her programming.
Everything about her tiny gestures and behaviors are so telling of her unique character, and are wonderfully adorable to boot. Her past is rich and tells a tragically beautiful story of how she risked her life for her love and her freedom, and the present-day shows how hard she’s worked to find her own self-worth despite that notion being explicitly forbidden in her born culture.
Speaking in a meta sense, she really is one of the biggest transformations, going from a relatively flat stereotype of the “nagging, ‘no fun allowed,’ overprotective maternal figure,” to one of the most complex and dynamic characters in the show. Her design is also effectively unique and immediately recognizable, all while being cute as hell.
She’s graceful, loving, infinitely kind, strong, fierce, resilient, and brave. She makes me feel more confident in my love of women, and she inspires me to find the worth in myself.
TL;DR, Pearl deserves the world and I’m gonna give it to her.
