You can say whatever about homestuck but you gotta admit it took guts to make two of the most popular male characters date each other and ALSO portray it realistically and not for ppl to fetishize. Like, Hussie clearly spent the long haul building up Daves arc related to toxic masculinity and internalized homophobia and paralleled it with Karkat not fitting into quadrants and desperately trying to fit that societal ideal. I honestly never thought he’d go there when I started reading homestuck in 2012 but look how far we came babey!!!
