• their bed has two bunks, the bottom bunk is big enough for all three of them while the top bunk is for whenever any of them need some space to themselves (there are lots of pillows and cushions)
• dave has nightmares a lot but he’ll usually let his boyfriends help him, john’s better at reassuring him he’s fine while karkat’s better at just wordlessly shooshpapping him until he drifts back to sleep
• karkat has issues with volume control, he’s allowed to be as loud as he wants at home but out in public john and dave just give him a little tap on the shoulder to remind him to be quieter without embarrassing him
• john’s the best cook out of all of them, dave doesn’t know how to make anything that isn’t some instant microwave meal and he and karkat both tend to not want to put any spoons into preparing food, so john and his dad are usually the ones making sure they’re eating well
• they have a lot of movie nights, a lot of good-natured ribbing ensues with the respective film tastes of each of them, jade and rose and kanaya and terezi often join in too
